Paradise is Paradise – we loved everything
“Fabulous Resort for Relaxation”
We were return visitors to this fabulous island resort. This time we spent two weeks at Paradise Koh Yao to get away from the Australian winter. What makes the resort special are the staff and its remote island beach location under picturesque limestone cliffs.
In regards to the staff they are all very friendly and willing to help, some have language difficulties but it does not take long to get the communications working. In particular we would like to thank Pascha the wonderful yoga teacher. Pascha has a passion for what she does and will tailor every lesson the meet the skills of the people in the classes. Thanks to Pascha my wife will be taking up yoga at home.
We would also like to thank all the dining room staff with special mentions for Oz, Nah, Prem and Laii. At every meal we were warmly greeted when we arrived.
The lady who did our room, Khun Been, had a number of chats with us and we noted one morning that she rejected a sheet as it did have a small mark on it from the laundry. Been scurried off and sourced a new sheet.
The GM Yanni is excellent and unfortunately is leaving, we wish him well for the future.
Some general tips are:
1. The beach is excellent at high tide however it becomes a reef for exploring at low tide. Check the tide times and do a tour, take a massage. take a kayak out at low tide or simply stay on the beach and read a book.
2. Join happy hour at 5:00 each day as this is where you will meet others at the resort.
3. Book a package for the spa and Yoga. By booking the package it becomes a commitment. We took a 7 day package for our 2 weeks which was fine as it gave us days off.
4. In the wet season be prepared for a day or two of solid rain. It does pass, we had 3 very wet days over the 14 days at the resort. The good thing is that the tours still operate and the rain is warm.
We will be retuning again which sums up our experience with this great resort for relaxation.
Room Tip: Rooms on the hill have great views but are further away from the beach and the beach villas.
“I wish to be here forever! Best place is Koh Yao Paradise in Thailand.”
Thanks for arranging Speed Boat Pickup and setting our Weeding anniversary so beautifully. We will remember your kind service and yes the beaches of this private Bay in Ko Yao Noi.
What is most good here is the service, people and lovely nature. The morning Yoga and Afternoon Spa after Trekking to Ko Yao Village is what called best part of this place. Just before sunset we went for kayak and Evening candle night dinner make our weeding anniversary a true meaning of been at Paradise.
Next day we went out for Island Hopping. Believe me its amazing place and there service. They speak English very good. We were over joyed when we meet some of German speakers as well some Swiss people. Truely in Asia this is where I wish to be stay forever ! I fill complete to give it full ratings in every aspect.
Room Tip: Best Room is any Pool Villa on the beach.
“Paradise at Koh Yao Noi”
I booked for a Thai Cookery and Yoga holiday over Christmas and New Year, and this place was perfect. Traveling on my own as I generally do, I like to be able to spend quiet time on my own but also be able to meet people as and when I want to.
All the staff at this resort were amazing, super friendly and couldn’t do more to help you.
The quality and choice of food initially was a concern as being stuck in 1 resort for 2 weeks is generally speaking my idea of hell, however you could eat different food for lunch and dinner and still have other choices available.
Couldn’t recommend this resort more.
Actually stayed December 2017 but done my review too late.
Room Tip: as high up as possible is good, but not easy for those who are slightly unfit after a couple of cocktails…
Paradise indeed as it was one of the best holidays we have had. Paradise is by far the best run resort we have visited through the years. The staff is delightful and cannot do enough for you to make your stay as comfortable as possible. The food is top notch and very reasonably priced.
Location cannot be better, it is isolated, no traffic, no noise external noise except with wonderful wildlife. They really deliver on the promise of back to nature in cofort and barefoot luxury. A word of warning, if you want night life and entertainment, do not come here as you will be disappointed. You come to Paradise to rejuvenate the batteries and for the peace and quiet.
If you are looking for a 5 star Hilton and the hustle bustle of Phukets tourist centres then this is not the place for you.
The Paradise Koh Yao Noi Boutique Spa Resort is the perfect place to lay back, take in some sun and enjoy the peace and serenity of this beautiful resort. Set in its own private bay, surrounded by the encroaching jungle, heaps of wildlife and beautiful scenery, my wife and I could not have asked for a better escape to recharge the batteries. The resort was extremely clean and tidy and all of the staff were extremely helpful and friendly. We literally can’t decide what the highlights of our holiday were…..whether it was the rustic and naturally landscaped grounds, great traditional Thai food, our amazing Lunge Pool room, island hopping in traditional longboats, relaxing in the hammocks and loungers located on the beach, happy hour cocktails with Laila at Sundowners Bar, or getting those tense muscles massaged out daily by Jen and the team at the Serenity Spa. Whilst the resort does need some minor works, we could not have had a better experience and whilst there is the odd negative review, based upon their issues identified all I can say is that you do need to do the appropriate research as the Paradise Resort does not promise to be anything that is not. Highly recommend, the perfect place to lay back, do nothing, and recharge.
We originally booked to stay three nights here and ended up booking another four because it was so beautiful. The room was absolutely stunning and the views where amazing. It was a bumpy ride to the hotel which is very secluded, the perfect place to relax.
The food in the restaurant was delicious and we took part in a cookery lesson which I would highly recommend. You make a three course meal and it is restaurant quality food and lots of fun. The hotel grounds are lovely and there are lots of activities to keep you occupied. We hired a kayak and went to the next beach which was perfect. The beach bar is fantastic in the evening with fantastic service.
I wouldn’t hesitate to return to paradise.
“The island of smiles”
Arrival at a paradise was from Phuket in a nice clean air conditioned mini van to the Ferry pier , then on a speed boat to Koh yao noi followed by a ride in a four wheel drive down a dirt road to the resort. This was quite an adventure but is suitable for all ages and was well worth the effort. Probably took about 1 and a half hours total. Arriving at paradise a cool towel was offered and a nice cool drink at reception.check in was smooth friendly and efficient with a upgrade given to us just for good measure. All details for checkout after our 8 day stay were confirmed as to make for departure as smooth as check in .our stay was nothing short of amazing for many reasons1-Every one was so friendly 2-great natural beauty complimented by lovely resort buildings and grounds that blend in so well 3-beautiful spacious rooms with very comfortable beds.We indulged in the resorts activities island hoping on a long tail boat with Mhee who was a great guide and a great person, jungle trek with Rrasid who was so worried and doted after my wife the whole time, snorkelling with Rrasid again was like mother hen looking after every one, village tour to see the Real yao noi with a beautiful lunch included, a great cooking class with chef Tsui where we cooked a three course meal on the beach and ate it . Great food even if I say so my self and a very relaxing massage. All of the above we’re tailored to suit us. Great light lunches at th beach bar served by Dong , happy hour with the amazing Leila was a daily ritual and Faii had our Breakfast covered and made us great coffee.it might sound like I am name dropping but it’s like that here. On more taan one occasion the GM Yanni chatted with us and was very interest what we thought of his Resort. This 8 day stay was a dream holiday in the Resort of smiles on the Island of smiles
Room Tip: 444 was a spacious room but up the hill a bit
“Two weeks in Paradise”
We spent 2 weeks in April at Paradise Koh Yao Noi and it was heaven on earth. If you love a beautiful venue of the beaten track, this is the place for the best relaxing holiday. The island is beautiful, the hotel luxurious and the staff and food fantastic.
We loved the trips on the long boats, the excursions, island hopping and mountain biking into the village. The hotel catered for our every need, the theme evenings was a great cullinary experience and the staff very attentive and friendly. We especially enjoyed the restaurant staff and the chefs who gave us cooking lessons and went so far as to obtain some utensils for us from the village and dried some herbs for us to take home.
It was a truly once in a lifetime experience.
“A real paradise!”
We booked this resort with local package arranged by the tourism organisation in Phang Nga province with a very reasonable price for a short retreat. The transportation to the resort is much easier that what we thought. From Bang rong pier in Pa Klok for just 30 mins to a local ride in 4 WD car, we could get to the resort with a beautiful scenery very quickly. The ambience was stunning as the resort located on the remote area of Yao Noi island, the way it should be. Our jacuzzi room was huge and comfortable, staff there was so friendly, 2 restaurants and 2 bars are more than enough for us, for those who love to see the local way of life, rent a bike from the resort and get to the village by resort long tail boat is a great idea. lots of interesting spots to dine and discovery!
Room Tip: apart from island hopper and beach front yoga class, if you are horn bill lover, here is the place!
“Beautiful hidden gem”
This lovely little resort is hidden within the jungle in the remote Island of Koh Yao Noi, the view from my room was the best view I think I will ever have in all my travels. The rooms are superb and the service brilliant. Be warned, there are lots of mosquitos! But that is not the hotels fault at all so please do not let that put you off this gorgeous retreat. I only have positive things to say – beautiful surroundings, beautifully cooked food and most of all the views..just wow, wow, wow! The staff are all very friendly and we found the guests to be extremely laid back. We adored the restaurant set on the beach, the location and setting is so romantic and perfect. Thank you so much, Paradise Koh Yao – you were amazing!
“Perfect place for a weekend!”
A absolute great hotel to relax and have a nice time. The rooms is overlooking the bay of Phang nga with the most stunning view you can wish for, don’t miss to be up early morning to see the sunset ;). The rooms are clean and in nature theme, restaurant serve good food and they have different activities for the ones how like. We look forward to come back next year! (if not before). A REAL paradise in nature stunning
